(The following information is subject to change)

Germany

Dates: May 31st - June 10th

This NCAA DI level tour will be coached by an NCAA DI coach and we will be playing against professional club teams.  The tour is being organized by Kevin Wood, our AIA Director in Berlin. The location for the tour will be Essen, Germany.  During the tour our coach will also be conducting a coaching clinic for many of the coaches in the region.  Mike Sigfids, AIA Staff member, will be directing the tour.  Mike can be reached at mike.sigfrids@athletesinaction.org.

Jordan and Canary Islands

Dates: June 14 - July 1

This team will be a very high level competing team tour that will play against professional and Olympic-level players/teams, conducting youth basketball clinics as well.  Tour begins with training camp in Xenia, OH (AIA’s World Headquarters).  Then team launch heads to Jordan (Middle East) where AIA has pair of exhibition games with Jordan’s senior men’s national team before they head to their Olympic qualifying tournament in Venezuela.  Following this, team heads back west to Gran Canaria, a Spanish island off the west coast of Africa/Morocco.  There we will engage in ministry through 4 games in Europe’s best pro summer league as well as conduct coaching/youth clinics.  The Canary Islands are the ‘Hawaii of Europe and Africa’ and also site of the 2014 FIBA Senior Men’s World Championship.  Both sites represent pioneering efforts as these are AIA’s first basketball visits to these locations.  We pray that they will indeed be catalytic and fruitful in every way! Morris Michalski, AIA staff member, will be directing this tour.  "Coach Mo" can be reached at morris.michalski@athletesinaction.org

East Asia

Dates: Mid May - Early June

Come help establish a developing sports ministry in one of the world’s most significant cities. You will learn the Athletes in Action Principles and have a chance to apply them against top university competition.  The sites you see will be amazing but a greater reward will be what you learn from another culture.
